My sim has graduated from college and gotten married. I'm currently in the process of doing the legacy challenge. Only issue I had was my sims wallpaper disappeared (bc it was a piece of custom content that I removed), and putting it back in didn't give me back my wallpaper. I've never tried to remove a mod before, I have removed recolors in the past. Some of my mods are default replacements, and some modify sims behavior. The FAQ made no mention of this anywhere. But I was wondering wheather this could cause a problem.

I don't want to remove everything, there is plenty of stuff I want to keep, and I kept everything I downloaded in their own individual folders, so I can easily remove any individual piece of CC I want.

Now that I'm older, I would like to remove alot of the things I downloaded, bc now I'd rather play the game for what it is, and well I find some of my old mods to be distracting. I'll be honest here, years and years ago when I was a teenager (and expansions were still being released), I downloaded alot of adult content. Is it safe to remove mods that you installed?
